Minor technical difficulties have prevented me from posting comics. Not site difficulties per se (though apparently some bot is zerg rushing my site with comment spam, thank you very much for that whoever you are), just stuff. I'll try and get back on the horse tomorrow.

zerg bot spam?
I've been running a very basic links page for my own use on a server at home. i.e. you type in a link, a comment, and hit submit. Besides using it for keeping track of my own links, I also use it to collect IP addresses to block. Since I'm not hitting the page from very many locations, I have a pretty good idea what networks I'm actually posting from, and thus what networks I'm not posting from. And I use iptables to drop all port 80 traffic from those addresses that 'post' from addresses that I don't use. It's a manual process, but I've found that blocking only a few addresses. At the moment I have a list of 37 unique addresses I'm dropping all port 80 traffic to my server.
