Comic Transcript
(OSW returns!
But I know what you're saying:
"Where's Kernel Panic?")
A: Hello, readers!
B: Stop that!
A: What?
B: You can't talk to them.
A: Why not?
B: It breaks the fourth wall.
A: What?
B: Breaks the fourth wall. The imaginary wall that separates the reader from the comic.
A: The fourth wall.
B: It clearly delineates what is real -- the readers' world -- and what is NOT real -- OUR world.
A: We aren't real?
B: That's not the point. The point is that it's bad form to break the fourth wall, and proper cartoonists who create respectable comics just don't do it.
(Silence.)
A: So why don't WE do it?
B: Just stop talking.
