ALICE: Don't be cheeky. Due to the extreme popularity of the marketing phrase "cloud computing," we're going to be pushing a new operating system that is optimized for "The Cloud."
ALEX: So you're re-branding the thin client.
ALICE: No, the thin client is a client/server technology. This technology is based on "The Cloud."
ALEX: Which is server based.
ALICE: In part.
ALEX: And accessed through a client.
ALICE: Yes, but since it utilizes apps from "The Cloud" we won't need a very large hardware or software footprint on the client machines and --
ALEX: So you're re-branding the thin client.

the comment button is missing from some parts of your site, I looked from two places and couldn't post in OSW
That's intentional...
The ability to post comments in a comic is locked after one week of publication. It cuts down on comment spam.
That seems a bit short.
That seems a bit short. What about the people who only come across the comic later on, or who read comics in batches (eg. monthly) rather than daily/weekly?
Usually flagging anything that has an URL (or more than one URL) for moderation is sufficient to kill most kinds of comment spam, without imposing time limits.
It might be a bit short...
... but for a while the bulk of my comment spam was backposted by about a week and a half. The majority of the legit comments on this site are made within 2-3 days of the comic.
Still, I might extend the backposting cutoff by a week or two.
