VIKTOR SCHRECK: As the prosecuting attorney in this case, I'm going to need every advantage I can get. I wonder if it's possible to convince myself to represent myself in court.

ALICE: That doesn't sound like a good idea.

VIKTOR SCHRECK: It's a terrible idea. Only a fool represents himself in court. But that would make it much easier for me to do my job.

ALICE: As a prosecutor, but it would make your life harder as a defendant.

VIKTOR SCHRECK: Yes, you're right. I'd never go for it.

ADALAI FOULE: Indeed you wouldn't.

VIKTOR SCHRECK: Adalai! What are you doing here?

ADALAI FOULE: I came as soon as I got your message. I've agreed to represent you as your defence attorney.

VIKTOR SCHRECK: I hired you as my defence attorney?

ADALAI FOULE: I'm afraid so.

VIKTOR SCHRECK: I'm far more cunning than I originally imagined.

ADALAI FOULE: You told me you'd say that.
