SCOTT: Marketing has already started putting out press releases about UberQuest.. isn't that kind of jumping the gun?
ALEX: Well, maybe a little, but the gaming community understands that during the initial phase of a computer game project, there's a lot of wishful thinking going on.
ALEX: The first step is to try and cram all the neat features you can into the game, you see, and then the next steps involve triage -- deciding which features have to stay, and which can be cut in the name of game stability.
SCOTT: So how long does this first step usually last?
ALEX: Until about three weeks before we release the game.
