ALEX: (Thinking) My first day back at work. OK Alex, just try and take things easy...

AT&T: Hi, this is AT&T. We noticed some of our customers were buying products form your site, so we're going to start billing you for using our bandwidth.

ALEX: Er, what?

AT&T: It's getting hard to make money just from being a long distance provider, so we're trying to make more money from the Internet. We figure the best way is to take a cut from all transactions our customers make with online businesses.

AT&T: I bet you're really mad at us right now.

ALEX: No, I'm just surprised we didn't think of this first.
