CALLER: So you're saying you DIDN'T make those purchases?

ALEX: I most certainly did not.

CALLER: That's what we thought. This happens occasionally, it's no big deal. Sometimes a less-than-scrupulous person gets a hold of your credit card number, and they try to milk it for all it's worth. We'll just cancel it and transfer your balance over to a new one.

CALLER: Of course, you'll still have to pay off all the charges the other guy made.

ALEX: I don't think so.
